Microsoft Luncurkan Aplikasi Office Mobile untuk Android


CHIP.co.id - Microsoft Rabu kemarin secara resmi mengumumkan bahwa aplikasi Office Mobile kini sudah tersedia di Android. Namun, aplikasi ini hanya tersedia gratis bagi pelanggan Microsoft Office 365 Home Premium dan ProPlus.
"Peluncuran aplikasi ini menunjukkan bahwa kami berkomitmen untuk terus menambahkan nilai tambah kepada pelanggan Office 365," kata senior product manager Microsoft Guy Gilbert.
Office Mobile untuk Android termasuk akses ke Word, Excel, dan Power Point. Program-program tersebut tidak dimaksudkan untuk membuat dokumen, spreadsheet, dan presentasi. Tetapi, mereka ditujukan untuk membantu pengguna Office membuat perbaikan secara cepat terhadap berkas yang ada, dan membagikan berkas tersebut.
Office 365 dibanderol US$100 setahun dan menawarkan kepada para pelanggan untuk memasang aplikasi tersebut hingga di lima perangkat berbeda seperti PC, Mac, dan ponsel. Sayangnya, sampai saat ini Office 365 belum bisa dipakai di tablet Android dan iPad.

AIO teranyar Lenovo ini menggunakan layar LED berukuran 23 inci Full HD. Layar ini sudah memiliki fitur wide viewing angle, anti-glare, serta berkemampuan layar sentuh hingga 10 titik. M93z juga dipersenjatai dengan discrete graphic opsional milik AMD Radeon HD 1 GB.

Samsung Bantah Manipulasi Hasil Benchmark Galaxy S4

 
CHIP.co.id - Samsung terpaksa merespons temuan AnandTech bahwa Samsung sengaja mendongkrak performa benchmark Galaxy S4 dengan menanamkan kode khusus yang meng-overclock ponsel tersebut untuk mendapatkan hasil yang lebih tinggi dari kenyataannya. AnandTech menemukan 'BenchmarkBooster' saat membongkar Galaxy S4 dan kode tersebut secara spesifik menyebut Quadrant, LinPack, AnTuTu sebagai aplikasi yang akan memicu clock speed yang lebih tinggi. Aplikasi benchmark kerap dipakai oleh pengulas perangkat, termasuk CHIP untuk memberikan perbandingan kemampuan komputasi antar perangkat yang berbeda. Samsung Galaxy S4 termasuk perangkat yang memiliki skor terbaik dalam seluruh aplikasi benchmark ini.
Namun, AnandTech menembukan bahwa S4 ternyata meng-overclocking dirinya sendiri, sehingga bisa berjalan lebih cepat, untuk mendapatkan skor yang lebih baik. Padahal, kinerja saat benchmark tidak sebaik saat penggunaan S4 secara normal.

"Sementara itu, frekuensi maksimum GPU 533MHz bisa dipakai aplikasi yang sedang berjalan yang biasanya digunakan dalam modus layar penuh, seperti S Browser, gallery, camera, video player, dan aplikasi benchmarking tertentu, yang juga membutuhkan performa yang substansial."
